David Poole a 13 year veteran NASCAR writer for the Observer, a publication known for covering NASCAR events, passed away today at the age of 50.
A National Motorsports Press Association’s Writer of the Year four times, David Poole was the best of the best, according to the authorities in the industry, and he loved writing about NASCAR and was highly respected by the NASCAR community.
Born in Gastonia, NC, David Poole was living in Stanfield at the time of his passing and is survived by his family; wife, a daughter, two sons, and one grandchild. His passing will be felt by the NASCAR community and he will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
